1. About this policy
1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how StaffCloud Services Private Limited (“StaffCloud”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on staffcloud.net (the “Website”), what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can control it.
1.2 It forms part of our Privacy Policy and should be read with it and with our Terms and Conditions. Our contact details are in Clause 8.
2. What cookies are
2.1 A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. On your next visit, the browser sends it back, which lets the site recognise your session, remember your choices, or count your visit.
2.2 Cookies are described in two ways:
- by who sets them — a first-party cookie is set by the site you are visiting; a third-party cookie is set by another domain whose content or service the site uses, such as an analytics provider; and
- by how long they last — a session cookie is deleted when you close your browser; a persistent cookie stays until it expires or you delete it.
2.3 “Similar technologies” means other methods of storing or reading information on your device or measuring your activity, including browser local storage and session storage, pixels and tracking images, and software development kits. Where we use any of these, we treat them in the same way as cookies under this policy.
3. How we use cookies
3.1 We use cookies for three purposes only:
- to make the Website work — maintaining your session, keeping the site secure, and allowing the content management system to function;
- to remember your preferences — including your cookie consent choice, so that we do not ask again on every page; and
- to understand how the Website is used — how many people visit, which pages they read, which sources bring them to us, and where pages fail or load slowly, so that we can improve them.
3.2 We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not run advertising pixels on the Website, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share personal data collected through cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising.
3.3 We do not use cookies to collect special categories of personal data, and we do not direct any tracking at children.

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the Website to function and for security. They do not require your consent, and the Website cannot be provided without them.

The exact name of the consent cookie depends on the consent tool in use on the Website at the time; the current name is shown in the banner’s preference panel.
4.3 Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4
These are set only if you accept analytics cookies. They help us count visits and understand how pages are used.

What Google Analytics collects. Pages viewed, time on page, clicks and scrolls, referring source, approximate geographic location at city level, device and browser type, and a randomly generated client identifier. It does not receive your name, email address or telephone number from us.
IP addresses. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; it uses the IP address only in transit to derive approximate location and then discards it.
Retention. Event-level analytics data is retained in our Google Analytics property for 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregated reports may be retained longer.
Google’s role. Google acts as our processor for Google Analytics data under Google’s data-processing terms. We have not enabled Google Signals, Google Ads linking or advertising personalisation features on this property. Google’s own handling of data is described at policies.google.com/privacy and business.safety.google/privacy.
Opting out of Google Analytics across all sites. Google offers a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
4.4 Cookies set by embedded content
If a page embeds third-party content — for example a video player, a map, a scheduling widget or a social-media post — that provider may set its own cookies when the content loads. Where such content is used, we load it only after you accept the relevant cookie category, or we link out to the provider instead of embedding. The provider’s own cookie and privacy policies apply to those cookies.
4.5 Changes to this inventory
Cookie names and durations are set by the software that issues them and can change when a plugin or service is updated. We review this inventory periodically and update it when we become aware of a change. If you find a discrepancy between this table and the cookies actually set on your device, please tell us using the contact details in Clause 8 and we will correct it.
5. Your consent
5.1 When you first visit the Website, a banner asks for your choice on non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are set regardless, because the Website cannot function without them. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them.
5.2 You may accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not restrict your access to any part of the Website.
5.3 Withdrawing or changing your consent. You can change your choice at any time by opening the cookie preferences link in the Website footer, or by deleting the consent cookie in your browser, which causes the banner to appear again on your next visit. Withdrawal takes effect immediately for future collection; it does not delete analytics data already collected, which you can ask us to delete using the rights procedure in our Privacy Policy.
5.4 Where the GDPR applies to you, we rely on your consent for analytics cookies and on the necessity of the processing for strictly necessary cookies. Where the DPDP Act applies, cookies that involve processing your personal data are used on the basis of your consent, except where the processing is a legitimate use permitted by that Act.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
6.1 Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored on your device, delete them individually or in bulk, block third-party cookies, block all cookies, and clear cookies automatically when you close the browser. These settings are usually found under Settings → Privacy and security. Browser help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Opera each describe the exact steps for the current version.
6.2 Blocking all cookies will stop parts of the Website, and of most websites, from working properly. Deleting cookies also deletes your consent choice, so the banner will reappear.
6.3 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. There is no common industry standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals, and we do not currently respond to them. Because we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising, a Global Privacy Control signal does not change how we handle your data. If a legally recognised standard is adopted and applies to us, we will honour it and update this policy.
6.4 Mobile devices. Mobile operating systems provide their own controls for advertising identifiers and tracking permissions, in the privacy section of the device settings.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, remove or change the technologies used on the Website, or when the law changes. The current version is always published on the Website with the “Last updated” date shown at the top. Material changes affecting non-essential cookies will be notified through the consent banner, and we will seek fresh consent where required.
