Using Amazon Seller Central
- Log in to Seller Central.
- Open the Newer Version tool link to or remove the newer model from the detail page.
- From the dropdown, choose the ‘Add a new version’ option and hit the ‘Next’ button.
- Enter the ASINs of the original and new products, then click the ‘Submit Request’ button.
- Allow 24–48 hours for the widget to appear on the detail page after submission.
If this section isn’t available, you may need to open a case with Amazon support and request a catalog update, clearly mentioning that you’d like to link an older ASIN to a newer one with the “Newer Version” tag.
Using Amazon Vendor Central
- Sign in to Vendor Central.
- To submit a request for a newer version link, first download the Newer Version template and enter the old and new product ASINs, their titles, and any notes for the support agent.
- Follow these steps to send the completed file:
- Go to the Contact Us section and select your business group.
- Open the Manage My Catalog menu and click on Product Linking (Variations, Twister, Newer Version, Duplicates, Edition, Titleset).
- Select Send an email and upload the filled-out Newer Version template along with your details.
- Amazon usually takes 24 to 72 hours to review and approve the request.
